Steel & Tube Fortress Fasteners newest screw made for the New Zealand residential roofing market, Rooffast is a dual-point universal screw suitable for installation into timber and steel - (up to 3mm thick) - without the need for any pre-drilling.
Rooffast screws are 6mm diameter, which is larger than a 12-gauge screw (5.4mm) and smaller than a 14-gauge screw (6.3mm). They are available in three lengths, 25, 55 and 65mm long are used with a standard 5/16" Nutsetter.
All Rooffast screws come standard with a premium mechanical galvanised coating (Class 5), which exceeds Class 4 coating requirements.
Rooffast screws meet the mechanical property requirements of AS 3566.1, and are head marked with F5= Fortress Class 5.
Our dual point design has been specially created to reduce wandering and for quick penetration of the roofing profile. The point design also reduces the amount of swarf coming off the roofing material.
Rooffast screws also have a hi-grip thread under the head to increase the holding power of the screw and reduce any movement of the roofing profile.
All Rooffast screws are supplied with DEKs Tru Blue EPDM sealing washers.
Screws are available unpainted or painted in the standard New Zealand Steel Coloursteel® range.
