Here at Steel & Tube, your privacy is of the upmost importance to us. This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we may collect from you, the purpose of collecting this information, how we will use and protect this information, and your rights of access to this information.

What types of personal information do we collect?
Depending on the ways that you interact with us (e.g. through our online Webshop, customer support, application for credit, surveys, etc) we may request personal information about you. This may include:

  • As a company engaging in business with global organisations, information may be used and shared with domestic and international third parties. We may share this information in an aggregated format - which does not identify you - with these third parties, so that we may improve your user experience.

  • Please be advised that in order to protect  your rights under New Zealand Law, we will carry out the required due diligence to ensure that any information sent to international third parties will have in place protections and safeguards comparable to those offered in New Zealand, as per the obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.

  • We will potentially hold your personal information electronically and in hard copy form. We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, modification, or unauthorised access, use and disclosure.  These steps may include, but are not limited to, restricted access control for our sites and the use of security measures for computer system access.

  • Once we no longer require your personal information for any of the purposes for which it was collected and subject to any legal obligations to retain information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify your personal information.
