I am pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Smith to the position of Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary commencing 30 October 2017.
Mr Smith, a chartered accountant, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, has financial and senior level leadership experience across the telecommunications, dairy, electricity and infrastructure sectors.
He commenced his finance career with KPMG’s audit team in Wellington in 1996 and has held finance roles with Opus International Consultants Limited and since 2011, as Chief Financial Officer for with Wellington Electricity Lines (WEL) / International Infrastructure Services Company (IISC).
I welcome the appointment of Mr Smith. He has considerable accounting, governance and commercial experience, and will become a valuable contributor to Steel & Tube’s leadership team when he comes on board in October.
He will replace interim CFO Steve Armstrong, who was appointed in July after Janie Elrick was granted an eight month sabbatical, with the intention she return to a new executive position in February 2018. Appointment of Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary
