Steel & Tube helps grow the skills of our players of the future, at the 2014 Crusaders Kids' Skill Session
On June 30th, lucky children of Steel & Tube’s customers and staff took part in the 2014 Crusaders Kid's Skill Session and got to meet the men of steel - selected Crusaders players – who revealed some special skills to help our kids up their game.
Five very tall Crusaders were on hand with Lee – a fantastic trainer, to put the kids through warm up and training drills:
Colin Slade (1.83m)
Samuel Whitelock (2.02m)
Adam Whitelock (1.85m)
Dominic Bird (2.06m) – the tallest Crusader in the squad!
Jimmy Tupou (1.96m)
Over 260 people attended the evening event at ‘Specators’ at Addington Race Way and while the 133 kids aged between 3-16 years old enjoyed themselves outside, it was a great opportunity for Steel & Tube staff to engage socially with customers and give something back to our local community.
The skills session was very popular, as was the face painting, followed by plenty of food and drinks to nourish young players and parents alike.
Each child received a goodie bag and five Crusader jerseys were given away in a competition drawn by each Crusader player.
A big thank you to our staff and customers for taking part in another fantastic Crusaders sponsorship event, and a very special thank you to the Crusaders for making so many kids (and adults) night.
Steel & Tube. Proud to put the Steel into the Crusade.
