I am pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen (Steve) Armstrong to the position of Interim CFO and Company Secretary effective from 17 July 2017.
Steve, a chartered accountant, will be in the role until the completion of an appointment process for a permanent CFO, which is expected in November 2017.
The changes reflect the earlier announcement that Janie Elrick (current CFO and Company Secretary) has been granted an 8 month sabbatical, with the intention she return to a new executive position in February 2018.
Steve’s appointment will provide leadership across financial reporting, treasury, tax, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, M&A and IT.
Steve, who also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), has held senior roles across multiple sectors including oil & gas, agriculture, electricity and financial services in a career spanning more than 25 years.
